Description

The position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) at JNU is a temporary role dedicated to a project titled “Targeted ultra-small mesoporous silica nanoparticles for receptor-mediated delivery of novel luminescent metallodrugs.” This project is supported by the ICMR, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in cancer biology, molecular biology, and related fields, utilizing advanced techniques and methodologies.

Project Details

Project Title:  “Targeted ultra-small mesoporous silica nanoparticles for receptor-mediated delivery of novel luminescent metallodrugs towards theragnostic for targeting solid hypoxic tumour.”

Duration: The selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis for One Year, which is yearly extendable till the expiry of the project after satisfactory performance.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a First-Class Post Graduate Degree in Biological Science or a Second-Class Post Graduate Degree with a Ph.D. in Biological Science. Desirable qualifications include experience in 2D and 3D in-vitro models, cancer biology, molecular biology, cell biology, and animal tumour models. Proficiency in transcriptomics, proteomics, NGS of tumour samples, bioinformatics, and programming using Linux, R, and Python is also preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research project management skills are essential.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 56,000/- plus 30% HRA per month
