Senior Research Fellowship Vacancy in the ICMR Funded Research Project Vacancy: Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) Duration: 6 months Funding Agency: ICMR Project Title: Selective Pharmacological Inhibition of the Transcriptional Anti-terminator Protein, RfaH of Klebsiella pneumonia

Project Description: Interested candidates are welcome to apply for SRF for a comprehensive drug discovery project aimed at designing and developing small-molecule inhibitors of the RfaH protein of Klebsiella pneumonia. The successful candidate will be involved in designing and developing small molecule inhibitors to potentially target the RfaH protein. The duties will include designing and synthesising new analogs of existing leads to develop biologically active compounds for testing in Klebsiella pneumonia and animal models. Applicants with expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, structural biology, and bioinformatics and a good command of English oral and written communication skills will be preferred. Eligibility

Essential Qualification: M. Sc. in any stream of Biological Science with at least 55% marks and Two Years of research experience. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualifiers. Candidates with experience in Microbiology/Molecular Cell Biology/Structural Biology/Bioinformatics will be given preference.
