The Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) has been established by the Science and Technology Department, Government of Gujarat vide Government Resolution No. ISR-2003-687-DST dated August 27, 2003. The ISR has been registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act. The Governing Council of the Society is chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Gujarat State. The ISR is unique in India being the only institute fully dedicated to Earthquake Studies.

The Institute of Seismological Research (ISR), a premier Research Institute under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, proposes to appoint talented researchers in core group scientist positions.
