Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013 from its transit campus at Mohali, Punjab. In the December of 2020, the institute shifted to its state-of-the-art new campus sprawling over 35 acres of land, at Knowledge City, Sector-81 (Mohali, Punjab). Research activities at INST encompass physics, chemistry, biology, and interdisciplinary sciences addressing problems in the field of energy, environment, quantum materials, nano-devices, and chemical biology. Title of the Project

Multilayer-Structured High Energy-Density Dielectric Polymer Nanocomposite Capacitors for Pulse Power Applications

Principal Investigator: Dr. Dipankar Mandal, Scientist-E/Associate Professor
Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of positions available: One

Project duration: Initially six months and may be extended till the end of the project, based on performance of the candidate.

Eligibility

Position: Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Degree in Physics/Chemistry/Electronics Sciences or M.Tech in any engineering disciplines, preferably from Materials Science/ Electronics and Telecommunications/ Instrumentation engineering , Chemical engineering , Nano Science and Nanotechnology with NET/GATE.
Age limit: Must not be over 30 years as on 7th September, 2021, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (pm) + HRA (as applicable)

☛ The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable subject to satisfactory performance till the completion of the project. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
☛ No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
