Indian Maritime University Kolkata Applications are invited for the post of Student Counsellor purely on contract basis

The legacy of IMU’s Navi Mumbai campus can be traced back to 1927, when nautical training was initiated on the Training Ship Dufferin. Following the decommissioning of Dufferin, the training of cadets continued on the TS Rajendra from 1972. In 1993, the maritime training institute moved to a shore-based academy called TS Chanakya, where the scope of education was broadened to include personality development along with technical training. Eventually, TS Chanakya was merged with IMU to become the Navi Mumbai Campus of the university.

Description

Applications are invited for the post of Student Counsellor purely on contract basis. The contract appointments would be for a period of six months initially and extendable based on performance during last tenure. Mode of Selection shall be Interview.

Eligibility

Essential:
(a) B.A./B.Sc. (Psychology) with certificate of Diploma in Counselling with minimum of Seven-Year Experience in providing counselling to students at Educational Institutes
[OR]
(b) M.A/M.Sc. (Psychology) with minimum of Five-Year Experience in
providing counselling to students at Educational Institutes.
[OR]
(c) MBBS with Master’s/Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine, with minimum of Five-Year Experience in providing counselling to students at Educational Institutes.
Desirable:
(a) Ph.D in a relevant discipline
(b) Work Experience in Maritime Training Institutes

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

Emoluments Honorarium of Rs 40,000/- to Rs 45,000/- per month
