Description
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is seeking Library Professional Trainees to join their team on a contract basis for one year. This position offers a unique chance to work in the Nalanda Library, where selected candidates will gain hands-on experience in various library functions and services. Trainees will work six days a week, including rotational shifts on weekends and public holidays, as per the library’s operational requirements.

Eligibility
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in library & information science (M.L.I.SC or equivalent) with First Class from a recognized Indian university. Additionally, knowledge of computers, IT applications in libraries, and library management systems is desirable. The age limit for applicants is 26 years as of the date of the walk-in interview, with age relaxations applicable for OBC and SC/ST candidates as per Government of India rules.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Consolidated stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month
