The main campus of IIT Mandi (Indian Institute of Technology Mandi) is in Kamand valley. The village is located in Mandi Tehsil of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. The IIT Mandi Cell was set up at the IIT Roorkee on 18^th March 2009, to steer the activities of the IIT Mandi. The IIT Mandi was registered as a society in Uttarakhand, on 20^th June 2009.Plans were finalized for development of a Transit Campus of IIT Mandi at Govt. Post graduate College, Mandi in August, 2009 during the visit of Shri Ashok Thakur, Additional Secretary, Govt. of India, MHRD, Department of Higher Education, on Aug. 13^th, 2009. This campus will start functioning in near future and will be in operation till the main Campus at Kamand is developed.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited under the following Project Associate – I project on a temporary basis with a consolidated salary. The renewal of services for a few months/a year, or up to the duration of the project will be based on satisfactory performance. Title of the Project: Development of an operational monitoring system of landslides in Kinnaur district through satellite and low-cost IoT based sensors data. Funding Agency : District Disaster Management Authority, Kinnaur. School/Center: Indian Knowledge System and Mental Health Applications Centre, IIT Mandi.

Eligibility

• Minimum qualifications: M.Tech./MCA/MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and related areas with a minimum of 55% marks. Desirable qualifications: Experience android app development, PCB design, and good command of the English language. C/C++ programming.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Consolidated Pay slab / Salary Rs. 15,000 p.m.
