Description

The project aims to study and establish various performance and safety parameters, test methods, and acceptance criteria for Leather Stitching Machines. This involves reviewing different standards such as ASME, ASTM, JIS, DIN, and ISO, as well as conducting research and visiting manufacturing units and laboratories in India. The project is led by Dr. Md. Sikandar Azam and Dr. K P Ajit from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.

Eligibility

Applicants for the JRF position must have a B.E./BTech/M.E./M Tech/M.Sc.Engg. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Machinery Engineering, or Production Engineering, and must be GATE-qualified. For the SRF position, candidates must meet the JRF qualifications and have two years of relevant experience. Industry experience is preferred, and candidates should not be older than 35 years, with age relaxation available for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000 per month
  • Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000 per month
