Description
The ANRF Junior Research Fellow (ANRF JRF) position at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is part of a project aimed at developing a novel machine learning-driven framework for real-time flash flood forecasting. The project involves using 3D storm bias-corrected and downscaled satellite-based precipitation estimates to enhance rainfall and flood forecasting accuracy over India. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Shushobhit Chaudhary from the Civil Engineering Department.

Eligibility
• M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydraulic Engineering/ Hydrology/Environment Engineering/ Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ Civil Engineering/ Earth Sciences or equivalent specializations.
• Candidate must be GATE/NET qualified.
• B.Tech. in Civil Engineering/Agricultural Engineering & Technology.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- ₹37,000 per month plus 20% HRA for the first two years
- ₹42,000 per month plus 20% HRA for the third year
- HRA is applicable in lieu of non-availability of hostel accommodation
