Description
The Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad is seeking qualified candidates for the Research Associate (RA) position to contribute to a cutting-edge project titled “Development of an Integrated AI/ML and Deep Learning-Based Exploration Model for Mineral Resources Mapping.” This project is spearheaded by Prof. Partha Pratim Mandal from the Department of Applied Geophysics. The role involves tasks such as uncertainty quantification, geological overlay analysis, report generation, and manuscript writing, among others.
Position
- Research Associate (RA)
Eligibility
PhD in Earth Science with at least one research paper in SCI Journal. Master’s degree should be in Applied Geophysics/Geology/Geoinformatics from a reputed institute with 60% above or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates with experience in mineral and hydrological resource modelling, geophysical data interpretation, GIS, AI/ML applications in geoscience with proven track record will be given preference.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 61,000/- plus HRA for the first year
- Rs. 67,000/- plus HRA for the second year, based on performance
