Description

The Junior Research Fellow position is part of a project titled “Impact of climate change on vulnerable aquifer systems in and around industrial and mining areas of Damodar River Basin (Eastern India) using GIS based Modified DRASTIC Model and Global Climate Model.” The project aims to assess the effects of climate change on aquifer systems using advanced GIS and climate modelling techniques. The role involves field visits, data collection and analysis, laboratory work, and contributing to research publications and presentations.

Eligibility

Candidates must be GATE/NET qualified with a master’s degree in environmental science, Geo-informatics, Geography, Geology, Remote Sensing and GIS, or an MTech. in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering, or Remote Sensing and GIS. Experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, Land Use and Hydrogeology Software, Modelling, and Field Research Work is desirable. The maximum age limit is 28 years, with relaxations for SC/ST/PWD, women, and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000 per month
