Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes. Essential Qualifications : Post Graduate degree in
basic science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility TestCSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by CentraI Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOs, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISCR etc.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
Junior Research Fellow(JRF) – Rs. 37830/- per month.
