Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes. Position: Project Scientist
Essential: PhD degree in Arts/Sciences/Engineering in the area of GIS/Geoinformatics OR Master Degree in Archaeology, Geography, Geology, Anthropology /Btech + 3yr exp. in GIS Survey and Exploration. Desirable Skills: Expertise in ArcGIS Software. Position: Assistant Project Scientist Essential: Bachelor ’s degree in Science/ Humanities + Experience in Field Survey/ Documentation/Exploration. Desirable Skills: Working knowledge of computer and Assamese, Bengali and Hindi language
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
For Project Scientist Rs.43,500+HRA 16% = Rs.50,460 For Assistant Project Scientist Rs.30,000 + Rs.1,000 DA and TA extra during Field work.
