Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. Eligibility

Position: Project Scientist
Essential: PhD degree in Arts/Sciences/Engineering in the area of GIS/Geoinformatics OR Master Degree in Archaeology, Geography, Geology, Anthropology /Btech + 3yr exp. in GIS Survey and Exploration. Desirable Skills: Expertise in ArcGIS Software. Position: Assistant Project Scientist Essential: Bachelor ’s degree in Science/ Humanities + Experience in Field Survey/ Documentation/Exploration. Desirable Skills: Working knowledge of computer and Assamese, Bengali and Hindi language

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

For Project Scientist Rs.43,500+HRA 16% = Rs.50,460 For Assistant Project Scientist Rs.30,000 + Rs.1,000 DA and TA extra during Field work.
