The project titled “Development of a high-throughput dynamic compression-shear bioreactor to mimic in-vivo knee-joint biomechanics for cartilage regeneration” is being conducted at the Jyoti and Bhupat Mehta School of Health Sciences and Technology, IIT Guwahati. The selected candidate will work on innovative research that aims to advance the understanding and development of biomedical devices for cartilage regeneration.

Eligibility
Candidates must have a Post Graduate degree in basic science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Engineering. B.Tech/B. E/MTech/ M.E in Mechanical/ Materials Science/ Chemical/Aerospace/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical Engineering. Selection is through a process involving the National Eligibility Test – CSIR (Assistant Professorship) and GATE, or through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies. Candidates from basic science background (Physics/ Biosciences/ Chemistry/ Pharmacy and other fields) with prior experience in biomedical devices and instrumentation and some background in mathematical modelling are also encouraged to apply.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Monthly Salary: Rs. 37,000
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Rs. 7,400
- Total Amount: Rs. 44,400
