Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.
Description
Applications are invited from Retired/ Retiring Govt. Officers from Para Military / Police Forces in the rank of Sub Inspector (Level-6 or above) for engaging 01 Consultant for Estate & Works, IIT Delhi. The engagement will be purely on contract basis initially for a period of 01 year which can be extended upto maximum 02 years, subject to requirement and after review of satisfactory work performance based on functional need, at a consolidated remuneration as per details given below:

Essential Academics Qualification: Officers retired/ retiring from Para Military / Police Forces in the rank of Sub Inspector (Level-6 or above) having Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and experience in fire safety work. OR • Candidate having Bachelor’s degree [Bachelor of Engineering (Fire & Safety)] or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent with at least 55% marks in the qualifying degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 05 years.
Roles and responsibilities: • Consultant shall be responsible for operation, maintenance of fire fighting installation and coordination with Security and other departments for fire safety work for the whole Institute. • Operation and maintenance of fire fighting, fire alarm installation in the buildings and campus at IIT Delhi coordinating with fire department whenever required.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
As per the prescribed guidelines mentioned in Office Memorandum of Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure vide F.No.3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09.12.2020 or Rs. 50,000/- whichever is less.
