Description

The recruitment is for a research project personnel position at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, focusing on the project titled “The contribution of cross-species innate immune responses to the host control of Q-fever.” This project is funded by the Indo-UK DBT BBSRC grant, aiming to explore significant scientific questions in the field of immunology and microbiology.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course. (microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, cell biology) Additionally, they should have qualified through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE, or other national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Candidates with academic and technical proficiency in microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, or cell biology, and at least one year of research experience, are preferred. Training in cell culture workflow, cloning, microscopy, handling of bacterial pathogens, infection studies, and BSL2/BSL3 practices is highly desirable.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 37,000 + HRA, as applicable
