The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards. Traditionally, teaching has been segregated from research in undergraduate science curricula in our country. The IISERs were established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to bridge this dichotomy. IISER TVM was founded in 2008. The institute aims to provide high quality education in modern science, integrating it with outstanding research at the undergraduate level itself, and to develop a spirit of enquiry cutting across disciplines. IISER TVM is an autonomous institution offering a five-year BS-MS programme in addition to iPh.D and Ph.D. programmes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and inter-disciplinary areas.

Description

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis: Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the SERB-sanctioned Project, Title of Project: Emergent patterns in complex dynamical networks of mixed dynamics, Funding agency: SERB, India.

Eligibility

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Minimum educational qualifications:Master Degree in Physics or Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks along with national level exams like CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE Qualifcation. Desirable qualifications : The JRF should have expertise in research related to nonlinear dynamics and complex networks with programming skills.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Salary 31,000 Rs. + HRA as per GOI rules.
