The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in the year 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed as Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.
Job Description
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on temporary and contractual basis under funded project:
Tenure of the appointment : Upto 12.02.2024 which may be extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Funding Agency : MoE- Scheme for Transformational and Advanced Research in Sciences.

Essential Qualifications : M.S. / M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology/ Microbiology with minimum 70% marks / or equivalent grade.
Preference : Candidates having one year experience in broad area of SUMO biology and An interest in gut biology and genetics is will be preferred.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 25,000/- + 24 % / House Rent Allowance
- Rs. 31,000/- + 24 %/ House Rent Allowance Based on valid CSIR-NET/GATE / DBT – JRF/ any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
