Call For Applications for Two- Month Summer Internship Programme in a Project Funded by The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India Dr. Subhronil Mondal, Department of Earth Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata invites applications from highly-motivated students for a two-month summer internship programme (01 position) for the session May-June, 2024, under the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) initiative related to a paleontology research project. The position is funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Selected candidate will be offered a stipend of up to Rs. 5000 per month (maximum two months) as student assistantship..

Basic Eligibility Criteria: Pursuing postgraduate science in Geology/Applied Geology, with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage; not only in majoring subject) or a CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale (55% or equivalent CGPA in aggregate for SC, ST and PD candidates) till the last semester.
