The IISER Bhopal is seeking talented individuals to join their research team focused on UAV aerodynamics, control, perception, and planning. The positions available include Project Associate-I and Project Scientist-I, each offering a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research in the field of UAV technology. Project Details
Project Title: “UAV – aerodynamics, control, perception and planning related research”.
Duration: The offer is for 12 months. If performance is good, the position can be extended.
Project Investigator: Prof. P.B. Sujit
Eligibility
Flight testing experience and operations handling. Experience with flight controllers (PX4, Ardu Pilot, etc.), sensor payloads, and hardware-software integration. Expertise in GPU acceleration, model optimization, quantization methods, and real-time inference for Edge AI deployment. System-level design, implementation, and hardware-software integration. Experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision. Strong academic and research background in Robotics, Control Systems, and Autonomous Navigation. Experience in control algorithm design (e.g., MPC, adaptive control, control barrier function-based controllers) and trajectory planning for aerial vehicles. Proficiency in ROS/ROS2, simulation environments (Gazebo, AirSim, MATLAB).
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Remuneration for all positions will be as per the ANRF Monthly Emoluments rules stated in ANRF/OM/N-01/2024.
