IISERs were created through a proclamation of Ministry of Education, Government of India, to promote quality education and research in science and related areas. The first two IISERs (Pune and Kolkata) were established in 2006. This was followed by an Institute at Mohali (2007), Bhopal & Trivandrum (2008), Tirupati (2015), and Berhampur (2016).

Eligibility
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
➢ MSc (or equivalent) in Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry/General Chemistry/Chemical biology from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% Marks.
➢ Qualified CSIR-UGC NET (LS) or GATE or equivalent national level examination with a valid score.
➢ Prior experience in synthetic organic chemistry, molecular biology and biochemistry is desirable.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Salary: Rs. 31000/- per month + 16% HRA
