Description
The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram is seeking a Project Assistant for a sponsored project titled “Physics-Guided and Data-Driven Control of a Hybrid Flying-Rolling Robot with Manipulator for Contact-Aware Transmission Line Maintenance.” The project is funded by ANRF – PMECRG and led by Dr. Nagamanikandan G from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The role involves research and development tasks such as design, simulation, fabrication, experimentation, testing, and documentation related to aerial manipulation.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a B.E/B.Tech degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines with a good academic record. Desirable qualifications include experience in drones/UAVs, control systems, Python/C++ programming, CAD software, ROS/ROS2, embedded systems, and experimental robotics platforms. The age limit is 28 years as of the last date of application, with age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Stipend: ₹27,000 + 30% HRA (if no accommodation is provided by the Institute)
