Indian Institute of Information of Technology Kalyani Applications are Invited from eligible Candidates for the following Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

IIIT Kalyani has been set up at Kalyani, West Bengal by Government of India (Ministry of Education), Government of West Bengal and industry partners on a Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) basis, being funded in the ratio of 50:35:15 respectively by the above three parties. Additionally, the Government of West Bengal has lent support to the institute by granting 50 acres of land for setting up the Campus. The industry partners of IIIT Kalyani are Coal India Ltd. and Rolta Foundation for the present.

Job Description

Applications are invited under the DRDO (CAIR) sponsored project. The selected candidate is expected to carry out the research work related to the project and to help ensure the timely and successful completion of the project, in consultation with the PI. S/He is also
expected to write the initial drafts of reports, programs, manuscripts, and patents resulting from the project in consultation with the PI.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 (in a 10 grade point scale) or 60% of marks.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 (in a 10 grade point scale) or 70 % of marks. The candidate should be GATE/NET qualified.
3. Master’s degree in Science in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 (in a 10 grade point scale) or 60% of marks. The candidate should be GATE/NET qualified.
   Practical knowledge in one or more development languages (including C/ANSI C/C++). Good written and verbal communication skills.
   Desirable Qualifications : Computer programming skills. Knowledge of Coding theory and/or Cryptology will be considered an asset.

Remuneration

• JRF Rs. 31,000/-+ 27% HRA per Month (inclusive all as per Institute norms).
