Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology Shibpur invites Application for the Post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

IIEST, Shibpur (Erstwhile “Bengal Engineering College”) ranks 27^th in NIRF-2021 among Engineering Institutes. It is the first college to become Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) in India in 2014. The Institute has a rich history. It is empowering the nation since 1856. Considering the year of establishment, it is the 3^rd engineering college in India but considering the year of graduation it is the 2^nd oldest engineering college in India. It has 16 departments and 8 schools. It has over 250 faculty members and a student strength of over 4000.

Job Description

Applications are invited from interested candidates for the following post in the Centre for Healthcare Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah-711 103.

Project on: ” Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles using various plant based Homeopathic Mother tinctures and evaluation of the efficacy of the Homeopathic drug capped Silver Nanoparticles as potential anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer agents”.

Eligibility

Essential Educational Qualification:

M.E or M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Biomedical Engineering. Two years experience in related field as JRF and Ph.D enrollment is required.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in working in the related field.

Age Limit:Maximum 32 years, (Upper age limit is Exceeded by up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman/PWD/EWS).

Duration: 12 months or till the completion of the project, whichever happens earlier.

Remuneration

• Fellowship:Rs. 35000 p.m. + 24% HRA as per rule
