IIEST, Shibpur (Erstwhile “Bengal Engineering College”) ranks 27th in NIRF-2021 among Engineering Institutes. It is the first college to become Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) in India in 2014. The Institute has a rich history. It is empowering the nation since 1856. Considering the year of establishment, it is the 3rd engineering college in India but considering the year of graduation it is the 2nd oldest engineering college in India. It has 16 departments and 8 schools. It has over 250 faculty members and a student strength of over 4000.
Job Description
Applications are invited from interested candidates for the following post in the Centre for Healthcare Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah-711 103.
Project on: ” Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles using various plant based Homeopathic Mother tinctures and evaluation of the efficacy of the Homeopathic drug capped Silver Nanoparticles as potential anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer agents”.

Eligibility
Essential Educational Qualification:
M.E or M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Biomedical Engineering. Two years experience in related field as JRF and Ph.D enrollment is required.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in working in the related field.
Age Limit:Maximum 32 years, (Upper age limit is Exceeded by up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman/PWD/EWS).
Duration: 12 months or till the completion of the project, whichever happens earlier.
Remuneration
- Fellowship:Rs. 35000 p.m. + 24% HRA as per rule
