The IACS is seeking a qualified candidate for the Research Associate-I position in the School of Physical Sciences. This role is a temporary, full-time position focused on research in the area of tidal Love numbers and quasi-normal modes. The successful candidate will join the research group led by Dr. Sumanta Chakraborty, contributing to significant advancements in gravitational physics.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a first or high second-class M.Sc. degree in Physics with a minimum average of 55% marks in B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. examinations. A Ph.D. with research experience in gravitational physics, supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals, is essential. Experience in gravitational wave astrophysics, particularly in numerical analysis involving the ringdown spectrum and tidal effects, is preferred.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 58,000/- plus HRA as per the Institute’s rules
