Workshop Introduction
Advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in areas such as hardware, software, and communications have created new opportunities for developing a sustainable, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The integration of ICT with the transportation infrastructure will enable a better, safer traveling experience and migration to Intelligent Transportation Systems which focus on four fundamental principles: sustainability, integration, safety, and responsiveness. The key objective of the seven-day workshop is to introduce students to the importance of intelligent information and communication technologies in order to provide services for transportation systems, traffic data collection, transportation logistics and pavement geotechnics. Who can Apply?
The course is open to motivated PG and Ph.D. level students, who are having a strong willingness to get excellence in their scientific and engineering research pursuits. Only 25 participants will be selected as per the scheme norms. Preference shall be given to students from TierII/Tier-III institutes as per the norms of Accelerate Vigyan “Karyshala” scheme.
