The Gujarat Biotechnology University is seeking a dedicated Research Associate to join their team. The selected candidate will work on a project focused on climate resilience by employing rare microbial metabolites and bioactive peptides of microbial and plant origin. This project is a collaborative effort with BRIC- National Institute of Plant Genome Research and CSIR- Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, aiming to explore innovative solutions for climate challenges.

Project Details
Project Title: “Climate resilience by employing rare microbial metabolites and bioactive peptides of microbial and plant origin”.
Duration: The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, extendable for another year subject to satisfactory performance and progress. The tenure of the appointment shall be co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Principal Investigator: Prof. Sudhir Pratap Singh
Eligibility
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in any branch of biological sciences from a reputed university. Additionally, applicants should have at least one first-author research paper published in a standard refereed journal with an impact factor of 3 or higher, as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR). Desirable experience includes recombinant protein production, protein purification, enzyme kinetics, microbial culture, and fermentation. The age limit for applicants is up to 35 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Emolument: Rs. 58,000/- + 9% HRA
