Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute Invites Application for the Post of EMPRI Fellow and Senior Consultant

Environmental Management & Policy Research Institute (EMPRI) is an autonomous institute established by Government of Karnataka on 17^thSeptember 2002 under the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment. The Institute undertakes applied and policy research and also endeavours to provide capacity building trainings on concurrent environmental issues relevant to the society. Services provided by the institute seek to encourage and enable government, industry and civil society to safeguard and manage the natural resources effectively. It is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.

Eligibility

EMPRI Fellow – Climate Change
ESSENTIAL
1.Ph.D in Science/Engineering/Environmental Science/ Environmental Economics in climate change preferable.
2.One of the degrees viz. MS/MSc/PhD or Postdoctoral Research should be from top 300 Universities (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019) of world or from the premier Institutions of the country like IISC. IITs, IIMs, IISERs etc.
3.Minimum 03 years research experience on climate change issues.
4.Demonstrated peer reviewed research publication record.
DESIRABLE
1.Experience of working on climate change policies / State climate change Action Plans.
2.Knowledge of GHG inventory Mitigation of climate change Vulnerability assessment, Adaptation to climate change.
3.Some knowledge on modelling of climate change projections/impacts/mitigation and other climate change contemporary issues.

Senior Consultant- Climate Change Qualification Ph D in subject related to climate change in essential and 3 years of relevant research experience

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• EMPRI Fellow – Climate Change Rs. 1,20,000/- per month / initially for 2 years
• Senior Consultant- Climate Change 50,000/- (CTC Per Month)
