National Mission on Education through information & Communication Technology (NMEICT) is a Programme of the Ministry of Education (MoE) to make affordable good quality Higher Education available to all young people in the country through ICT. There are a number of projects under NMEICT viz SWAYAM, National Digital Library of India (NDLI), e-Yantra-Robot enhanced teaching in engineering colleges and schools, FOSSEE – Assimilation of Open Source Software in Science and Engineering, Virtual Labs, e-Shodh Sindhu (Consortium for Higher Education e-Resources), ERP (SAMARTH), Plagiarism Detection Software (PDS), NEAT, NETF, Academic Bank of Credit etc

Applications are hereby invited from Competent Professionals for working on contractual positions in the various NMEICT Projects at Shastri Bhawan, Ministry of Education, New Delhi, initially for a period of one year, in the areas/ verticals mentioned hereunder

Eligibility

Position: Advisor(Digital access) Essential: PG in IT/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Computer Science or related fields. Desirable: Ph.D in Engineering or Management. Experience: Minimum 20 years post-qualification experience in related field of IT/ Computer Applications. Experience in Education Sector preferred.

Position: Consultant Essential: Graduate in Engineering – Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Computer Science. Desirable: PG in Electronics/ Communication/ Computer Science / Management. Experience: Minimum 8 years in : Development of e-contents OR Broadcasting OR Web Development projects OR Assistant Professor in a reputed Institute. Should be knowledgeable in ICT. Experience in Government / Education Sector preferred.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Advisor(Digital access) Rs.1,30,000/- per month depending on Selection Committee’s recommendation.
• Consultant Rs. 60,000 – 5,000 – 90,000/- per month depending on Selection Committee’s recommendation.
