Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), New Delhi. Now the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance” under the act of Parliament-2007.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the research project sponsored by National Technical Textile Mission, Ministry of Textile (7/MSG/NTTM[1]2023/7th MSG/8), under the supervision of Dr. Mukesh Bajya (PI), Department of Textile Technology, NIT Jalandhar Title of the project: Development of cost-effective ballistic and stab resistance soft body armour by using different high performance materials Duration of the project: 2 years Appointment will be On Purely Temporary Basis, for a maximum period of two years or project durations whichever is earlier based on the performance. Eligibility

Position:Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Eligibility requirements: Post graduate degree in basic science (Physics and chemistry) with NET qualification or Graduate in Textile Technology/ Textile Engineering with GATE or M.Tech in Textiles/ Polymer/ Fiber Science / Chemical Engineering / Material Science / Chemistry / Physics / Mechanical / Paper and Pulp /Nanotechnology/relevant branches. Desirable Knowledge: Knowledge about the high performance fibre, modeling simulation, high performance polymer, yarn, fabric structures, knowledge about low velocity and high velocity impact, bullet proof jacket will be the added advantage.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 37,000/- + HRA as per institute/project norms.
