Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) is an important DRDO lab based in Chandigarh and it is actively involved in development, production, processing and characterisation of different high explosive compositions, Blast, Lethality and Fragmentation studies of warheads, shells and other ammunitions, Captive flight testing of Bombs, Missiles and Airborne systems, Ballistics evaluation of various protective system like body armour, vehicle armour and helmets against small arm ammunition etc. The laboratory is certified as per International Quality Management Systems Standard ISO 9001:2000 by Standardization Testing and Quality Certification Services (STQC), Department of Information Technology (DIT), Government of India. It was upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 in 2014.

Job Description

Applications are invited from interested candidates for the following positions at TBRL, Chandigarh. This fellowship is purely on temporary basis. The offer of fellowship does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO. Number of fellowship as indicated above may vary depending on Laboratory requirements.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Computer Science – 02 Post

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Mechanical Engineering – 01 Post

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Electronics & Communication Engineering – 03 Post

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Physics – 01 Post

Eligibility

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Computer Science : BE/B.Tech in Computer Science in 1st Division with valid NET /GATE qualification or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science in 1st Division both at Graduate and Postgraduate level.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Mechanical Engineering : BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 1st Division both at Graduate and Postgraduate level.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Electronics & Communication Engineering : BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication – Engineering /Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification or Engineering M.E./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication/ Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics /Electronics& Telecommunication in 1st Division both at Graduate and Postgraduate level.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Physics : Post Graduation in Physics in 1st Division with valid NET qualification

Remuneration

    • Rs. 31000/- plus HRA admissible as per prevailing rules.

How to Apply

Desirous candidates appearing for walk-in-interview are required to report at TBRL, Sector-30, Chandigarh-160030 at 0900 hrs on respective date mentioned above. Initially the candidates will be screened with respect to eligibility criteria etc. Only the screened-in candidates will appear for interview on the same date. Complete biodata and attested copies of Marks sheets/Certificates (10th onwards), caste certificate and experience certificate, should be brought at the time of Walk-in-interview along with a recent passport size photograph. Candidates working in Govt/Public Sector Undertaking /Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel.
