The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, (DIAT) as it is known today, came into being as the Institute of Armament Studies in 1952 in the CME campus. In 1967, the Institute was renamed as “Institute of Armament Technology, (IAT)”, which moved to its present location at Girinagar, Pune. From the relatively narrow scope of Armament Studies alone in the Fifties, the role of the Institute was considerably enlarged by the Defence R&D Council in 1964 and further in 1981.

Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engg. of this Institute is looking for young Scientists/Engineers for the position of ‘Project Assistant (PA)’ to work under DRDO sponsored research project entitled “Analysis and Design of GP Cartridge Assembly”. Details/eligibility conditions for selection are given hereunder

Eligibility

Essential: B.E./ B.Tech/ M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc or

Specialization: Materials Engg/ Materials Science/ Metallurgical Engg/ Metallurgical & Material Science/ Mechanical Engg./ Metallurgy/ Manufacturing Engg/ Instrumentation Engg/ Industrial Engg/ Aerospace Engg or equivalent

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Project Assistant(PA) Rs.25,000/-(Consolidated)
