Central University of Tamil Nadu Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow under ANRF – Sponsored Core Research Project

Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu, along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. It is part of the greater role that the Central Government assumed in making higher education accessible to aspirants from the weaker sections of the society. With eight students in M.A. English Studies, the university started functioning from November 2009, at the Collectorate Annexe at Thiruvarur, 60 kilometers to the east of Thanjavur. But today the University sits astride a major tributary of the famous Cauvery river in the heart of the Delta seven kilometers to the north-west of Thiruvarur.

Applications are invited for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) , to work in the following research project under the supervision of Dr. K.R.S. PREETHI MEHER, Assistant Professor, Department of Material Science, School of Technology, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur – 610 005, Tamil Nadu, INDIA.

Project Title : Development of Aurivillius Layered Perovskite Halide
Compositions to function as “ROBUST” Absorber Materials for
Photovoltaic devices

Eligibility

First class in M.Sc. / M.Phil. (Physics /Applied Physics/ Chemistry/Materials Science, Nanoscience, Nanotechnology, Energy Technology) /M.E/ M. Tech (Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Semiconductor Devices, Energy Technology, Ceramic Technology) (preferably qualified in GATE/NET-JRF-Lecturership from UGC-CSIR Joint Exam) with First Class

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

Rs 31,000/- pm+ HRA 9% for CSIR/NET/GATE qualified (or) Rs 25,000 /- pm + HRA 9% otherwise
