Description

The Central University of Rajasthan is seeking a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to join a DBT-sponsored project in the Department of Microbiology. The project, titled “Microalgae-Powered Biomanufacturing: A Carbon Capture Approach for Scalable Nutraceutical Aquafeed Production,” aims to explore innovative solutions in the field of biomanufacturing using microalgae. This position is temporary and co-terminus with the project, initially available for one year and extendable based on performance.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in a relevant branch of Science/Technology with a CGPA of at least 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks. Applicants should have cleared national-level exams such as UGC/CSIR, DBT, DST, ICAR, ICMR, DAE, MHRD, DRDO, IIT, or IISER. Hands-on laboratory experience and a strong background in fermentative biomass in microalgae, biocatalysis, molecular biology, and biochemistry are highly desirable. Research experience supported by publications in high-impact journals is advantageous.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• INR 37,000/- per month (consolidated) + HRA, as per DBT rules
