Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency.

Position
- Junior Research Fellow(JRF)* / Project Associate – 05 Post
- Scientific Assistant – 01 Post
Eligibility
Junior Research Fellow(JRF)* / Project Associate: Full time M.Sc. in Polymer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, Bio-Polymer Science Or Full time M.E/M.Tech. in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Technology, Polymer Nanotechnology. *GATE, NET Qualification required.
Scientific Assistant : Full time B.Sc. in Polymer Science, Physics,
Chemistry, Materials Science from a recognized university.
Or
B.E/B.Tech.in Mechanical, Nanotechnology, Material Science & Engineering, Applied Science.
Proficiency in Computer operations including knowledge of MS Office, noting and drafting.
Should have good oral and written communication skills.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- As per Institute norms /guidelines.
