Description
The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous research institute funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The institute focuses on harnessing novel biotechnologies to enhance animal health, reproductive technology, disease management, nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics. The selected candidates will engage in translational research aimed at genetic enhancement of Indian livestock species and the development of novel vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

Eligibility
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in disciplines such as Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Sciences, or related fields. Alternatively, a Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology in disciplines like Chemical, Biomedical, or pharmaceutical engineering, or a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in any branch of medicine/MDS/MVSc from a recognized university or institute is required. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in a responsible higher position in research, teaching, or industry with published research of high standards.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Scientist-D: Pay Level 12 as per 7th CPC
- Scientist-C: Pay Level 11 as per 7th CPC
