The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I. This opportunity is part of the DST-Materials MAP research project titled “Research for Accelerated Development of Materials & Devices for Energy Harvesting and Conservation,” under the guidance of Dr. Sarthak Mandal, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.

Eligibility

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Science selected through National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. Project Associate-I: Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Science from a recognized university or equivalent.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • JRF: Rs. 31,000 per month + 18% HRA for GATE/NET qualified candidates.
  • Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000 per month + 18% HRA for non-GATE/NET candidates.

Eligible candidates may appear for a walk-in interview at the Department of Chemistry, NIT Tiruchirappalli, along with a filled-in application form, and the original as well as photocopies (self-attested) of relevant certificates. Candidates are also encouraged to submit their details via the provided Google form link along with supporting documents as a single PDF file by 13th April 2026.
