Description

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Technical Officer – II. This position is part of a project funded by Open Philanthropy, under the guidance of Principal Investigator Prof. Guruprasad R. Medigeshi. The project focuses on developing antiviral platforms and identifying drugs against henipaviruses, including the Nipah and Hendra viruses. The role is temporary, co-terminus with the project, and offers a competitive monthly remuneration.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, BVSc, or a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Medicine from a recognized university. Alternatively, a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or M.Tech in Biotechnology is acceptable. A Doctoral Degree in Biological, Natural, or Life Sciences with at least one first-author peer-reviewed research publication is also eligible. Desirable experience includes mammalian cell culture, virus research, protein expression and purification, and molecular biology techniques.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • INR 57,000/- plus 9% HRA
