Anna University was established on 4th September, 1978 as a unitary type of University. This University was named after Late Dr.C.N.Annadurai, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. It offers higher education in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Applied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of the society. Besides promoting research and disseminating knowledge gained therefrom, it fosters cooperation between the academic and industrial communities. The University was formed by bringing together and integrating four well known technical institutions in the city of Madras (now Chennai) namely,

Alagappa College of Technology (ACT) (Established in 1944)
Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) (Established in 1949)
School of Architecture & Planning (SAP) (Established in 1957)
Description
Centre for Entrepreneurship (CED), Anna University has been working towards creating a robust Innovation & Entrepreneurship Ecosystem at Anna University. CED has been supporting students of all affiliating colleges in TN State in various aspects of forming Startups. The position is upto 1 year (with periodic break for every 6 months) and extendable based on availability of RUSA project funds & individual performance assessment (as per Anna University norms).

First Class M.E. / M.Tech. in any branch – 10 years of
Industry / Teaching experience out of which 2 years in StartUp / Incubation / related fields Mandatory. Entrepreneurship & Innovation field experience & Knowledge of handling ground level student startup ideas, managing students & interacting with the team is desirable.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Salary: Rs.50,000/- (consolidated)
