Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa came into existence on 7^th October 2016 after the conversion of Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, a state agricultural university, which was established in 1970 by Govt. of Bihar a historical place where the idea of agricultural research and education first took shape. The history of the place dates back to year 1905, when Agricultural Research Institute and College, Pusa was first established by the British Government in light of the recurring food scarcity in the country. In its current role, the university extends its jurisdiction and responsibility in the fields of teaching, research, and extension in context of agriculture and allied sciences to the whole country with special reference to the State of Bihar.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa is advertising Item No. (1) 01 (one) Post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Plant Breeding, Item No. (2) 01 (one) post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Food and Nutrition/Biochemistry and Item No. (3) 01 (one) post of YP-II on contract basis under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence in Millets & Value Chain (CoEMV)” at PGCA, RPCAU, Pusa, which is purely temporary and on contract basis.

Eligibility

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (Plant Breeding)
Essential: Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Genetics & Plant Breeding with 4 years Bachelor’s Degree.
Desirable: Having NET qualification or Ph.D. degree in above mentioned discipline and having quality publications

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (Food & Nutrition /Biochemistry)
Essential: Master’s Degree in Food & Nutrition/Food Science & Nutrition/Biochemistry with 4 years/3 years Bachelor’s Degree.
Desirable: Having NET qualification or Ph.D. Degree in above mentioned discipline and having quality publications

Young Professional- II
Essential: Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics/ Agribusiness Management.
Desirable: Having NET qualification.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable)
• Young Professional- II Rs.35,000/- per month consolidated
