Anna University, Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT) has been established as a Technical Institute under Anna University, Chennai by the Government of Tamil Nadu. One-Week STTP on “Disaster Risk Management” under the AICTE Quality Improvement Scheme (AQIS) is sanctioned to the Department of Civil Engineering, Anna University, UCE-BIT Campus, Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India. In view of the prevailing COVID-19 Pandemic Situation, AICTE has directed for organizing three STTP’s on the sanctioned topic for facilitating and benefiting the participants from academics and industry across the country. India is one of the most disaster prone country. This programme would help the participants to understand the due importance of disaster risk reduction and also creates a wide multi-disciplinary understanding of the issue pertaining to managing disasters.
Event Introduction
The objectives of this AICTE-AQIS STTP Programme to intends to provide financial assistance to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill and intends to provide opportunities for induction training to teachers employed in disciplines Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Architecture, Town Planning and Applied Arts & Crafts.
A award Short Term Training Programme (STTP) to cover areas such as technical education policy, new concepts, methods and techniques, theory and skills development and up gradation of pedagogy educational technology, motivation, communication skills, management and other relevant issues to keep pace with the changing scenario in Technical Education.
Who can Apply?
The program is open to faculty of Engineering Colleges and other allied disciplines in India. Industry personnel working in the concerned or allied discipline can also attend.
