The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) is seeking a qualified candidate for the temporary position of Project Associate-I. This role is part of a project aimed at enhancing the climate resilience of Chickpea and Brassica, under the supervision of Dr. Shiv Meena. The project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in plant genomics.

Project Details
Project Title: “Development of climate resilient Chickpea and Brassica”.
Duration: This position is purely temporary, initially till the tenability of project i.e. up to July 31st, 2027.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or Medicine or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, they should meet the guidelines outlined in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in cold-stress biology of plants, including multiplex cloning, gene expression analysis, CRISPR-mediated genome editing, and phenotyping. The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Emoluments will be provided as per the guidelines prescribed in the DST Office Memorandum.
