Description

The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position at IIT Jammu is part of a cutting-edge project focused on developing a hybrid quantum secure communication network. The selected candidate will engage in hardware-friendly algorithm design, digital VLSI-architecture design, FPGA-based system design, and ASIC chip design, among other tasks related to quantum key distribution systems and cryptography.

Project Details

Project titled: “Towards Trusted-node Free Hybrid Quantum Secure Communication Network (TAHQEECAT)”

Sanctioned by: Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. 

Duration: Initially for six months. May be extended depending on the performance. The position is co-terminus with the project. 

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an M.E./M.Tech./MS(R) or equivalent degree in CSE/ECE/EE/Microelectronics/VLSI Design and allied subjects with at least 65% marks. A 5% relaxation is provided for ST/SC/PH candidates. Those awaiting results may also apply. Alternatively, candidates with a B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in relevant fields with 65% marks are eligible. Additionally, candidates must have qualified in national eligibility tests such as CSIR or exams conducted by central government departments and institutions like DST, DBT, DAE, etc. Experience in cryptography, digital signal processing, and VLSI architecture design is preferred.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 37,000/- plus 18% HRA as applicable
