The Manipal Academy of Higher Education is seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Project Technical Support III. This position is part of an interdisciplinary research project titled “AI-Driven Wearable Biomarker Validation of Monoaminergic Sleep Disruption in Major Depressive Disorder: A Cross-Species Translational Framework.” The project is a collaboration between the Centre for Molecular Neurosciences and the Department of Psychiatry at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. The selected candidate will work on developing a cross-species metric harmonisation pipeline and engage in behavioural feature extraction and explainable machine learning.

Project Details
Project Title: “AI-Driven Wearable Biomarker Validation of Monoaminergic Sleep Disruption in Major Depressive Disorder: A Cross-Species Translational Framework”.
Duration of Engagement: Up to 3 years, co-terminus with the project, subject to annual review of performance.
Eligibility
Candidates must possess an M.Sc., MTech, or B.E in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Data Science, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with UGC recognition. Desirable skills include proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn), time-series and signal processing, machine learning with interpretability methods, and Git-based reproducible workflows. No prior biology background is required as appropriate training will be provided.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- INR 28,000 plus 10% HRA per month
