Description
The Junior Research Fellow position at IIT Madras is a temporary role focused on research in the synthesis and characterization of metal hydride-based composites and energetic MOFs. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Somnath Bhattacharyya and will be involved in various aspects of the research project, including material synthesis, MOF synthesis, development of porous materials, material characterization, gas adsorption measurements, and adsorption kinetics.

Eligibility
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through a process described under any one of the following: a. Scholars who have qualified through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, including Assistant Professorship, and with a valid GATE score OR b. Candidates selected through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions, such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc, IISERs, NISER, or other equivalent national level examinations.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- ₹37,000 per month plus 30% HRA
