Project Details
Project Title: “Investigating novel GABA producing bacteria as Anti-Epileptics”.
Principle Investigator: Dr. Sugato Banerjee, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Email: sbanerjee@niperkolkata.ac.in.
Description of the Project: The project involves evaluating GABA producing probiotic strains as anti-epileptics using animal models of epilepsy.
Eligibility
Essential qualifications: M.S (Pharm)/M. Pharm in Pharmacology/Pharmacology and Toxicology or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA. GPAT/NET/GATE qualified candidate will be preferred Candidates with experience in behavioural animal studies and knowledge of cell and molecular biology will be preferred.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- The selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend as per the norms of the funding agency, which is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
