The project focuses on understanding the effects of climate change and human activities on terrestrial hydroclimate through advanced climate modeling techniques.

Project Details

Project Title: “An investigation on the impacts of climate change and anthropogenic activities on terrestrial hydroclimate using a convection-permitting climate model”.

Duration: One year (with possibility of extension based on performance).

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an M.Tech./ME/MS/BS-MS in Climate Science, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Physics, Water Resources, Environmental Science, Engineering, or an equivalent degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 and a valid GATE/NET score. Alternatively, a B.Tech./BE degree with the same CGPA and score is acceptable. Candidates with a degree from IITs/IISc/IISERs with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 are exempt from the GATE/NET requirement. Desirable qualifications include experience with WRF ARW model, climate simulations, model evaluations, proficiency in FORTRAN programming, data visualization, and publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000 + HRA per month
