The National Institute of Technology, Agartala, is seeking qualified candidates for the roles of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Associate-I (PA) for a research project titled “Autonomous underwater monitoring system for detecting and classifying objects by means of computer vision using cooperative cognitive radio network.” This project is funded by IIT Guwahati TIDF TIH and will run until December 31, 2026. The selected candidates will work under the guidance of Dr. Ranjita Das, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering.

Project Details

Project Title: “Autonomous underwater monitoring system for detecting and classifying object by means of computer vision using cooperative cognitive radio network”.

Duration: Till 31st Dec 2026.

Principle Investigator: Dr. Ranjita Das.

Eligibility

For the JRF position, candidates must have a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course. Selection should be through National Eligibility Tests like CSIR-UGC NET or GATE, or through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments. For the PA position, a master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSC, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or Medicine is required. Desirable qualifications include M.E./MTech. in Computer Science and Engineering, IT, or Communication with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or Acoustic Communication.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • JRF: Rs. 37,000/- plus HRA
  • PA: Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates; Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA for others
